A 25-year-old woman identified as Halima Cisse has entered the world record after she gave birth to nine children, nonuplets, at once on Tuesday in Mali.
It was gathered that an ultrasound scan detected seven babies in the woman’s womb, followed by a need for the special care that made.
Mali’s government flew Halima Cisse to Morocco on March 30, for better care.
However, she gave birth to nine children instead of seven.
According to reports, the woman gave birth to four boys and five girls, nonuplets, through a caesarian session handled by professional doctors.
Mali’s health minister, Fanta Siby, confirmed her safe delivery in a statement.
“The mother and babies are doing well so far. They are due to return home in several weeks’ time” the minister said.
