Stop Calling Friday ‘Black Friday’, Its A Holy Day For Muslims – Kano Hisbah Board Tells Cool FM

Sharia Police, Kano Hisbah Board has in notice banned popular radio station, Cool FM from calling Friday ‘Black Friday’ ahead of a Black Friday Sales expected to start today, November 27.

In the Notice, Kano Hisbah Board noted that majority of Kano residents are Muslims and they consider Friday a holy day.

The Sharia police added that they will be around for surveillance purposes with a view of stopping immoral activities at the event as well as maintain peace, harmony and stability in the state.

  1. I don’t even like that name “Black Friday”It sounds like devil’s name to me. Why not use another name for it? To me, any goods purchase that day is from the devil. Just imagine calling any market , BLACK MARKET DAY? How does it sound?
