Recently, Twitter users dug up old tweets of Nigerian singer, Peruzzi after he went live on Instagram to deny rape allegation leveled against him by A Nigerian lady, Princess.
According to princess, the singer raped her in 2012.
The lady gave details of how the alleged rape happened, saying she is choosing to speak now due to the “boldness” of other rape victims.
According to her, she accompanied a friend named Aisha to visit Peruzzi in the blocks of flats popularly called 1004.
She says that at night, Peruzzi tried to touch her in the room she was sleeping in with Aisha but she refused.
The lady later changed location and went to the parlor downstairs.
However, while she was there, Peruzzi came again after she had dozed off and allegedly tried touching her. adds that she objected but he forcefully shifted her underwear and raped her.
She never reported to anyone because she was scared and because her parents didn’t know she was in Lagos.
Reacting to this, Peruzzi went Live on Instagram to deny the accusation.
However, some twitter users who seems not to believe him went and dug up some old tweets which showed the singer boasting about raping women.
In one of the old tweets, he joked about the cost of a rape fine.
“Rape fine na 5k dolls abi? Abi e don increase. Lol,” he wrote in March 2012.
In others, he said things like, “I will rape her”, “person wey I don rape already”, and “rape am if she no gree”.
The tweets have been deleted by the singer after a woman accused him of raping her in 2012.
Responding after the screenshots of his old tweets were shared, Peruzzi, wrote:
“MY NAME IS OKOH TOBECHUKWU, I HAVE NEVER AND WILL NEVER BE A RAPIST.”
However, Twitter users responded and asked him to explain his old tweets that seem to promote rape.
