Born on 19th December 1970, Ramsey Nouah is a Nigerian actor, director, and producer.
Nouah was born in Edo State to an Israeli father (Ramsey Nouah Snr.) and a Yoruba mother (Margaret Afolabi) who hails from Owo, Ondo State.
The actor grew up in Surulere, Lagos.
Ramsey Nouah attended Atara Primary School and Community Grammar School for his primary and secondary education respectively.
After graduating from Secondary school, the movie Director obtained a diploma in mass communications at the University of Lagos, after which he pursued a career in acting.
Ramsey Nouah ventured into acting because of financial challenges.
He needed funds for his GCE exams, and since its not coming forth, the actor accepted his friends advice and attended an audition that marked the beginning of his career in the Nollywood industry.
As time went on, Nouah developed passion for acting.
Ramsey Nouah’s acting career fully kicked off when he starred in the Nigerian TV soap opera, “Fortunes” in 1990.
Since then, he has been appearing in numerous films starring as the lead role, and has been called “Lover-Boy” for his numerous roles in romantic films.
In 2015, Ramsey secured the rights to Living In Bondage from Kenneth Nnebue for a possible remake to be filmed in Europe, America and Nigeria.
In 2018, Nouah announced his remake had become a sequel titled Living in Bondage: Breaking Free, slated for release on November 8 2019.
Nouah, who plays the new cult chief priest in the movie, makes his directorial debut, with original actors Okwonkwo, Udokwu, and Kanayo also reprising their roles.
Meanwhile, the actor has produced interesting films like Elephant in the Room and few short stories for African Magic
Ramsey got married to the love of his life, Emelia Philips In 2002. The actor described his woman as the ‘powerhouse’ of the family.
The union is blessed with 3 children; one girl and two boys.
