Born on 18 September 1975, Innocent Idibia, professionally known as 2face [2baba, Tuface] is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, humanitarian, and activist.
He is the founder of Hypertek Entertainment.
2face was born in Jos, Nigeria. The singer is from the Idoma ethnic group in the southern part of Benue State, in central Nigeria
2facw attended Saint Gabriel’s Secondary School in Makurdi.
After he finished high school, he enrolled at the Institute of Management & Technology (IMT) in Enugu to study business administration and management.
While he was in IMT, 2Face began writing jingles at Enugu Broadcasting Services.
He later dropped out of school to pursue a career in music.
2face started his music career while in IMT. The singer dropped out of school to pursue a career in music.
He left Enugu for Lagos, where he started collaborating with singer Blackface (Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo) who he met during his secondary education. They decided to start a band with another musician, Faze Faze(Chibuzor Oji).
The trio named their band Plantashun Boiz and released two successful albums: Body and Soul (2000), Sold Out (2003).
In 2004, the band broke up, and each musician went to start a solo career.
2face used that opportunity to show all his talents. He released albums like: Face 2 Face (2004), Grass 2 Grace (2006). Grace to grace contain hits songs like “One Love”, “True Love, “4 Instance”.
In 2006, his song “African Queen” was used in the soundtrack for the film, Phat Girlz. On numerous occasions, BlackFace claimed 2Face was performing songs co-written by both of them and not remitting revenues to him. He also accused him of stealing “African Queen”.
In 2007, all the members of the band reunited for the purpose of recording a third and final album entitled Plan B (2007).
In 2008, 2face produced his next album “The Unstoppable”. The album’s international edition was released in 2010 under the title “The Unstoppable International Edition”.
The international edition of the album won two awards at the 2010 SoundCity Music Video Awards. He also won the Channel O Music Video Awards Best African Western award and the MTV Africa Music Awards for Best Male and Artist of the year.
2face set up his own record label known as Hypertek Entertainment, upon leaving the music label Kennis Music after the release of his second solo album.
The is part of the Sony All African One8 Project alongside seven other musicians across Africa recording a single with R. Kelly and Prince Lee titled “Hands Across the World”
2Baba got married to his longtime girlfriend, actress Annie Macaulay on 2 May 2012 in a private ceremony.
A civil ceremony was also held in Dubai, UAE on March 23, 2013 and had a high attendance of celebrities.
Their marriage is blessed with 2 girls; Olivia Idibia and Isabella Idibia.
Meanwhile, 2Baba is father to 7 kids. He had 5 kids from 2 previous relationships.
Nino[ Son] and Zino[Son] was born by Sumbo Ajaba, Rose[daughter] and 2Baba Justin [son] to Pero Adeniyi Rose . The other child is Innocent Idibia.

In May 2016, 2Baba received an honorary Master of Arts in Music degree from Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, Nigeria.
In March 2019, he was awarded a honorary fellow of the school of music by the Music Department, Obafemi Awolowo University.
2Baba own an NGO called The 2Baba Foundation. The foundation’s work is centered on nation-building, peaceful co-existence, and accountability in governance.
In 2009, 2faba was appointed as ambassador by National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control. The singer released the song “Man Unkind” to raise awareness on the menace of fake and sub-standard food and drug products in Nigeria
Same year, 2baba was appointed the prestigious International Youth Ambassador for Peace Summit and the Nigeria Youth Merit Award by the National Youth Council of Nigeria in recognition of his contributions to youth development in Nigeria.
In January 2017, 2Baba announced a partnership with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). He made an initial donation of over US$11,000 to UNHCR for IDPs and returnees
He has also collaborated with other NGOs like The Nigerian RedCross Society, Enough is Enough (EiE)(Office of the Citizen campaign), Youngstars Foundation and National Democratic Institute (for Vote Not Fight campaign).
