Yesterday, the Islamic Movement Of Nigeria (IMN) protested the killing of top Iranian Army General, Qasem Soleimani.
Recall that the Army General was killed by a United States airstrike over the death of its citizens.
It is believed that the top Army General has killed a lot of innocent U.S citizens in Iraq.
Reacting to the report about Soleimani’s death, the Shiites who are believed to be religiously affiliated with the type of Islam practiced in Iran took to the streets of Wuse in Abuja to demonstrate their anger by burning an American flag to ashes.
They also chanted that the Nigerian government should free their leader – El Zakzaky.
However, Donald Trump has released a statement through his verified Twitter handle on the consequences of burning American flag.
According to him;
“ Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag. If they do, perhaps there must be consequences. Perhaps loss of citizenship or one year in jail.”
