Algeria took home the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Trophy after defeating Senegal 1-0 in Africa on Friday at Cairo, Egypt.
Baghdad Bounedjah scored the winner in the second minute after his effort was deflected into the net.
The second half saw the Teranga Lions struggle to equalize, but the North Africans held firm to win the title.
Senegal was granted a penalty for handball but after the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review, match referee Sidi Alioum overturned his decision.
With this win, Algeria has now scripted their second AFCON Cup win. Algeria had previously won it when they hosted the 1990 edition.
