Video: Nigeria Referee Seen Running For Dear Life After An NPFL Match In Lagos

Yesterday, Nigerian referee, Adebimpe Quadri escaped death at the Agege Stadium, Lagos when Kano Pillars fans attacked him after their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Super Six fixture against Enugu Rangers.

It was gathered that Kano Pillars were leading 1-0 after midfielder Rabiu Ali curled in a free-kick in the 58th minute to put his team ahead but in the 87th minute, Rangers were awarded a penalty which was scored by striker Godwin Aguda.

After the match, Kano Pillars captain Ali confronted the referee and this led to a violent scene.

‘Kano Pillars’ fans invaded the field with objects in an attempt to attack the referee who took to his heels.
