On Tuesday, Barcelona defeated Manchester United with 3-0 and a 4-0 aggregate triumph in their Champions League quarter-final tie.
Messi scored twice in the first half, before setting up Philippe Coutinho for the third goal after the break.
Reacting to their loss, Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, hailed Lionel Messi as one of the best.
Solskjaer was quick to identify the Argentine superstar as the difference.
“If you want the result you need a performance and of course we started well but then he (Messi) hits that in the bottom corner.
“He’s top quality and he was the difference.
“He’s different class, him and Cristiano,” Solskjaer told BT Sport after the game.
