A video of soldiers invading the residence of the Rivers state commissioner of education, Tamunosisi Gogo-Jaja has surfaced online.
In the viral video, at least five persons identified as family members of Gogo-Jaja were seen fleeing into a direction as armed soldiers barged into their GRA phase 3 home in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
According to TheCable, the incident happened on Wednesday.
Reacting, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state accused the army of “been dragged into full-time politics”.
However, the army spokesman, Musa Sagir said: “The Nigerian Army personnel are totally apolitical, neutral and will continue to discharge our duties in line with the Chief of Army Staff directive, extant Rules of Engagement, Code and Conduct and the Constitution of our country.”
