PDP has sued President Muhammadu Buhari to an Abuja Federal high court for allowing two foreign Governors from Niger to attend his campaign rally in Kano state.

PDP asked the court to determine whether the presence of two foreign governors from the Niger Republic is not a violation of Nigerian electoral constitution.

Issa Moussa and Zakiri Umar, governors of Zinder and Maradi regions (respectively) of neighbouring Niger republic , attended the Kano presidential rally, fully attired in the garments and colours of the APC and also took photographs with President Muhammadu Buhari.

This triggered criticisms from Nigerians who alleged foreign interference in the electoral process with the PDP saying that “They came with monies and mercenaries to influence elections in Nigeria.
