A former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has released a full audio recording of the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, insulting President Muhammadu Buhari saying that he does not listen to anybody.
Omokri released the full audio on Sunday in a post on his Twitter handle, amid the controversies trailing an earlier snippet he made public.
Amaechi was reportedly heard in the snippet, saying, “The President does not listen to anybody. Does he even read?”
However, Tolu Ogunlesi, the Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital, New Media, claimed the audio recording was from 2014 during Amaechi’s fight with President Goodluck Jonathan.
Reacting, Omokri released the full clip where Amaechi mentioned President Buhari’s name, saying that he will release second part shortly.
He tweeted: “Yesterday, I set up the @NGRPresident. I knew if I released the full #AmaechiTapes, they’d say it was fake.
“Now that @ToluOgunlesi admitted it is actually Amaechi, but from 2014, here is the rest of Part 1 proving that @AsoRock lied.”
Omokri earlier wrote on the micro-blogging site: “24 hours after I released the first BOMBSHELL of Rotimi @ChibuikeAmaechi criticising @MBuhari as a man that does not even read or listen to advise, he has not denied the authenticity of the tape.
“Rotimi @ChibuikeAmaechi. I am waiting for you. One squeak from you and I release the Part 2. How can you know that President @MBuhari is a leader that does not LISTEN, does not READ, and has no CAPACITY, yet you are foisting him in Nigeria. All for the love of money and power!
“Part 2 is coming shortly.”
