A former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has reacted to president Muhammadu Buhari’s refusal to assent to the amended electoral bill.
President Muhammadu Buhari has refused to assent to the amended electoral bill.
The national assembly had passed the bill on July 24 and transmitted to the president on August 3.
However, in September, Buhari turned down the bill for the second time, asking the national assembly to revise some clauses
Reacting, Fayose, on his twitter handle wonder why the President was afraid to sign the bill into law.
He tweeted, “What is President Buhari’s fear concerning this Electoral Bill? Can the interest of a single individual be placed above that of Nigeria and its people? Is he saying that even his party members in the NASS were wrong to have passed the Electoral Bill? May God save our country.”
